About Huellas Costa Rica
The Huellas Gastronomic and Cultural Festival is more than a celebration of Costa Rican flavors and traditions; It is an event that unites companies in the tourism sector in a community collaboration, promoting family coexistence and creating shared memories that last in the heart of each participant.
History
The Huellas Gastronomic and Cultural Festival, founded in 2018 in La Fortuna de San Carlos, Costa Rica, celebrates the cultural and gastronomic diversity of the region while raising funds for community initiatives such as the "Future Minds" project.
Over the years, the festival has grown in size and popularity, attracting thousands of visitors. Despite cancellations during the pandemic, the festival returned in 2023 with more than 3,000 attendees, reaffirming its role as a cultural and tourist reference.
The 2024 edition will merge the celebration of National Parks Day, integrating educational and environmental activities, continuing its mission to strengthen the community and provide educational opportunities.

Los Macucos Rally
Competition supported by the La Fortuna Firefighters, with children's, youth and adult categories. Chivas prizes and registration cost of 1000 colones, payable on the day of the event.
The Barrilito
Gastronomic stands where local tourist companies will offer traditional Costa Rican dishes.
Red Carpet
A space to take photos and upload them to social media, creating memories of the annual Huellas festival
EduFun
Children's educational and inflatable stands area. Fusion with the celebration of National Parks Day, with educational stands of national parks and the donation campaign for trees of native species of UNED San Carlos and CITTED.
Gran Bingo Peseteado
Popular bingo organized by the La Fortuna senior citizen group (AAMAFOR). Cardboard cost: 100 colones. It is important to wear small.
Green Footprints
Awarded by the Ecological Blue Flag Program as a “special event”, promoting sustainable practices. Mini collection center to separate solid waste and UNED San Carlos plastic cap collection campaign.
